Pastor Mary is a 1996 graduate Cedar Crest College, Allentown Pa and a 1999 graduate of Lancaster Seminary.  She was ordained December of the same year.  She is married to William K. Hendricks, who is an ordained retired pastor.

Pastor Mary is originally from Slatington, PA.  She graduated from High School in 1971. She married Robert Greene in 1972 (He died in 1987 in an accident)  They had three children together.  Melissa  married to John Shirk and  living on the outskirts of Jersey Shore, Pa; Jeremy married to Beth Bennett and lives in Tannersville, Pa; and  William, married to Heather Boddle, living in Jersey Shore, PA. 

In 1998, Mary married William Hendricks,  They met at Lancaster Seminary.  Bill also graduated in 1999.

This marrage added three step-children, Michael Hendricks of Florida, Lester Hendricks of Catskill, NY, and Jason Hendricks, married to Cathrine Aloi, living in Hamden, CT.  Together Pastors Mary and Bill have 14 grandchildren and 1 more on the way.

She has served with her husband Bill as co-pastor of St. John's UCC in Bedford, PA for almost 2 years and in the Greenfield Charge; Mt. Hope UCC, Greenfield, UCC, and Grace, UCC for 5 1/2 years in the Claysburg area.  She was called to St. John's Martinsburg in July, 2007 and began serving here in November.

Pastor Mary is involved in our local ministerium.  She also serves on the Penn West Conference's Transformation and Renewal Ministry Team and is Vice President of the Juniata Association of the Penn West Conference.

Pastor Mary loves to read, cook, and is learning to crochet.  She also pretends to garden!  She created a rock garden behind the parsonage that is a mix of flowers and veggies!!
